Lee Dunn has been practicing Chi Gong and Tai Chi Chuan for 18 years, and teaching for 14.
Lee Dunn, has been a tai chi and chi gong practitioner for the past nineteen years. After 10 years working in the building trades — and several injuries — Lee began studying the Kuang Ping style of tai chi, under the guidance of Marilyn Allysum in 1990. He chose this gentle form of martial arts to increase flexibility, improve balance and reduce stress, while also strengthening his body.
Lee became an assistant instructor at the Tilopa Tai Chi Qigong Center in 1994, and was promoted to full instructor in 1996. Through his study and teaching, Lee began to discover the benefits of this moving meditation. He found that the practice of tai chi combined breathing and movement with an understanding of the energy pathways of the body and an interpretation of the energy (chi) all around us. As a teacher, he is recognized for his clear and patient instruction, as well as his calm and kind presence.
In 2006, Lee opened High Moon Tai Chi and Chi Gong in Minneapolis. As the full-time instructor, Lee shares with others the lessons that tai chi has personally taught him. He enjoys helping his students to discover their own path to renewed health, conscious awareness and inner harmony.
Lee is the father of four children and has been married to Marti Stewart for 12 years. He was ordained as a priest in the Liberal Catholic Church in 2007, and has lectured on tai chi at the St. Paul Lodge of the Theosophical Society and at Augsburg College.
